About: Alloa Mensah exhibited their gorgeous selection of bags at our November Valmont Catwalk show 09. The brand was founded in January 2009 by Michael Eshun-Mensah, an inspiring artist/entrepreneur.
For those of you who are yet to come across this luxurious brand, Alloa Mensah Is an online bag boutique. They offer unique bags and accessories, with most of their product lines only available on their online boutique and cannot be found anywhere else in the UK. They pride themselves on selling high quality goods and customer service.

EXHIBITOR: RIVETS N STITCH
An exhibitor at the ‘A La Mode International Catwalk ’ event September 09
About: Rivets and n Stitch was founded by award winning former Textiles and Music student Maryja Symone Johnson. Maryja was selected to showcase her designs at the graduate section of the New Designers Show at the Business Design Centre in London, in the summer of '97. From there she was selected by the Embroider's Guild to exhibit as part of their graduate show for all three Knitting and Stitching Shows later that same year.
Maryja later became involved in Interior Design. She bought and renovated her own property in '00 and attended an interior lighting course at Chelsea College of Art, in which she also studied different types of lighting and how light can be used in various interior situations. Maryja also continued to make smaller pieces at home, securing a commission to furnish a whole house in Fulham with her lights, whilst gaining a lot of life and work experience working for architects and contractors. In December '07 she successfully sold her home.
Maryja made the decision to return to textiles and mixed media design and in late '08 set up a new studio in Clerkenwell. She is now designing new and exciting collections of work.

About: The company started trading in October 2008. It all started when Bernie Hurst (founder) went on holiday with 10 pairs of shoes in her suitcase and got charged 125 excess baggage because she had taken 1 colour for every outfit. Bernie there must be a way of designing a shoe that you could change the colour to match every outfit when going on holiday. So she sat by the pool drawing and Viola Nooshooz was born. The first prototypes made in China but the quality was very poor. As Bernie wanted a high-end shoe, she went to Brazil and found a couture shoe maker. The shoes were ready within 3 weeks and they were perfect. All shoes are made using the finest quality materials and crystals (swarovski crystallised) .

About: A London-based artist working on and with paper. Anne makes hollow paper structures – often shoes and vessels - with fragmented drawings, prints and paintings in fine Japanese paper.
She exhibits regularly and uses her fragile paper structures to create digital photographs and images.
Commissions include a paper double bass (CD cover for eminent jazz musician Chris Laurence ) and paper feet for ‘Abolition’ poster (commissioned through competition judged by Anti-Slavery Campaign).
She also runs workshops based on her practice. She has her work displayed in public and private collections. (Bury Museum, Epping Forest Museum).
